In my habits based approach, there is one habit that gets more push back than the others. Especially when the experiment happens over the holidays. How does the idea of drinking only calorie-free beverages for two weeks make you feel? For some, it's no big deal but for others, the notion of no alcohol for two weeks is a more of a challenge than they signed up for.
